Info Post
According to nj.com the MET has established a new record sale for the opening day of the box office. More than $2,500,000 spent on opera tickets! Financial crisis?? Think again. Even if there were some major changes (Angela Gheorghiu shortened the run, Rolando Villazon withdrawn, Elina Garanca gave Les Contes d'Hoffman for Carmen) most of the tickets were sold.
I have to say that I contributed to that amount. And it was difficult to find some tickets. Armida on May 1st (the one that will be broadcasted) was almost sold out. On the first day of the sale!
