Remember that some time ago Sieglinde gave some predictions about the future seasons at the Met? He was saying that Angela will sing in Faust. But Sieglinde is not the only one writing about this. Two more sources say that Faust will be... Jooonaaaas.

While Jonas Kaufmann's unofficial website mentions Rene Pape as Méphistophélès, Wagner Blog suggests Alexei Markov.

What else do we find out? That Faust is a new production, that the conductor is Yannick Nezet-Seguin, that there's another cast (Marina Poplavskaya/Piotr Beczala/George Petean) and the director is Des McAnuff.

Then go further down on Wagner Blog and you'll find Carmen (scheduled for fall 2012 and then February/March) but with a question mark... and La Rondine for 2013-2014 (no cast yet). And many, many other things. Each big name in the world of opera is listed there. As I say every time, there are just suppositions until they get confirmed on the official site of the Met.
