If you're in town (London), go see Il Trittico. The new ROH production is surprising, touching, emotional, it gets you goose bumps, tears and laughter at the same time in 3 hours of music. The singers deliver a rainbow of emotions and Pappano does magic in the pit. Under his baton the orchestra sounds different from other conductors. Out of the three operas, Suor Angelica is by far my favorite and Ermonela Jaho was brilliant in portraying the desperate, lonely, suicidal mother. Ok, you got the idea :) Just go see it, you won't be sorry. And if you don't get a ticket, Il Trittico is available for listening on BBC iPlayer.

Enjoy!
