Info Post
It's not the type of music I listen to every day. That's why when I get the chance to listen to it live it's a real treat. Last week I had a large dose of baroque provided by the Romanian countertenor Florin Cezar Ouatu at the Romanian Athenaeum in Bucharest. I enjoyed every minute of each aria by Handel (Rompo i lacci, Lascia ch'io pianga, Cara sposa, Ombra mai fu, Furibondo) or Vivaldi (Nel profondo, cieco mondo, piece that he performed again as encore). He also performed Gluck's Che faro senza Euridice, which happens to be my favorite baroque aria, both in countertenor and contralto versions. How did he know thaaat?
It was a special evening (photos proving it) with a difficult program performed with dedication and emotion. Looking forward to the next concert!
If I made you curious, take a look at these videos.

Vivaldi - Nel profondo, cieco mondo

Handel - Ombra mai fu

And a behind the scene video for a daring photo shooting for GQ magazine, coming up soon, found on his official YouTube page
Have a marvelous weekend!
