Even if Angela's name was put on the Classical Brit Awards Website some time ago, only today UK’s recorded music association, The BPI, confirmed her participation. Romanian Opera superstar Angela Gheorghiu will be making her only UK appearance at the Classical BRIT Awards before she returns to the UK in July to perform in La Traviata at the Royal Opera House.

And the statement goes on The Royal Albert Hall stage will have to prepare to accommodate heavyweight performances from the opera greats, as Lifetime Achievement recipient Dame Kiri Te Kanawa and Angela Gheorghiu perform stunning arias and the welsh baritone of Bryn Terfel and Mexican tenor of Rolando Villazón raise the roof.

The Classical Brit Awards will take place tomorrow, May 13th, at Royal Albert Hall in London. The show will be broadcast on ITV 1, Tuesday May 18th, 10:35pm.
